Bangalore emerges as the city with the highest cost of living among the surveyed locations, with an average monthly expenditure of Rs 35,887. Following closely behind is Mumbai, where individuals are estimated to spend around Rs 33,321 per month to sustain themselves. Delhi shares a similar cost of living with Mumbai, standing at Rs 33,308.
Pune and Hyderabad, with monthly costs of Rs 32,336 and Rs 31,253 respectively, secure their positions among the top cities with higher living expenses. Ahmedabad and Chennai closely trail behind, with average monthly costs of Rs 31,048 and Rs 29,342, respectively.
Moving towards the lower end of the spectrum, Lucknow, Kolkata, Jaipur, and Kochi offer comparatively lower monthly expenses. Residents of Lucknow spend around Rs 28,376 per month, while those in Kolkata allocate Rs 27,869. Jaipur and Kochi record similar figures, with monthly costs standing at Rs 27,813 and Rs 26,665, respectively.
