Mumbai: Pune-based non-banking financial company Poonawalla Fincorp on Monday said it has appointed senior HDFC Bank executive Arvind Kapil as its chief executive.Kapil is currently the group head mortgage banking business at the bank which includes home loans, loans against property (LAP) and the sales business of the erstwhile Housing Development Finance Corp (HDFC) which was merged with the bank last year.”As we continue to develop new business verticals and the next level of growth, it is pleased to share that Arvind Kapil will be joining them as MD and CEO. Kapil manages a book of over ₹7 lakh crore at HDFC Bank,” the company said in a press release.Poonawalla Fincorp did not say when Kapil will take over as CEO of the company.The current CEO Abhay Bhutada has been elevated to the group level for a strategic and larger role at the Cyrus Poonawalla Group, the company said.
