NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index closed on a positive note on Tuesday. Shares of TIINDIA(up 4.44 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra(up 1.11 per cent), Tata Motors(up 0.63 per cent), Hero MotoCorp(up 0.59 per cent) and Maruti Suzuki(up 0.39 per cent) ended the day as top gainers in the pack. On the other hand, Balkrishna Industries(down 0.8 per cent), Bharat Forge(down 0.54 per cent), Bajaj Auto(down 0.45 per cent), Bosch(down 0.44 per cent) and Eicher Motors(down 0.32 per cent) finished as the top losers of the day. The Nifty Auto index closed 0.47 per cent up at 13648.5. Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index ended up 1.55 points at 18265.95, while the BSE Sensex stood down 2.92 points at 61761.33. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 26 ended in the green, while 22 closed in the red. Shares of Zomato Ltd., Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd., Suzlon Energy, YES Bank and IDFC First Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE. Shares of Mankind Pharma, Lead Reclaim and Rubber Products Ltd., Stylam Ind, Jai Balaji Inds and Firstsource hit their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade, while Cyber Media Research & Services Ltd., Party Cruisers Ltd., Jakharia Fabric, Vasa Retail & Overse and TCNS Clothing hit their fresh 52-week lows.
