Adani Ports Reports Strong Financial Growth Amid Rising Interest Costs in March 2025

Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone has reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, showcasing a notable performance in various metrics. The company has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, with its score rising to 7 from 6 over the past three months. In terms of net sales, Adani Ports achieved its highest quarterly figure in the last five quarters, reaching Rs 8,488.44 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 23.08%. This positive trend is also evident in the operating profit, which stood at Rs 5,005.96 crore, marking the highest level in the same timeframe. The profit before tax, excluding other income, reached Rs 3,275.15 crore, also the highest in five quarters, with a year-on-year growth of 35.83%. Additionally, the profit after tax was reported at Rs 3,035.11 crore, showing a year-on-year increase of 28.5%. However, the financial results also highlight a significant rise in interest costs, with the latest six-month figure at Rs 1,638.20 crore, which has increased by 62.01% compared to the previous half-year period.
