Archidply Industries Reports Record Quarterly Sales Amid Declining Profitability and Rising Debt Levels

Archidply Industries, operating in the Wood & Wood Products sector, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024. The company has experienced a notable shift in its evaluation, with the score adjusting to -14 from -18 over the past three months.
In terms of sales performance, Archidply Industries achieved its highest quarterly net sales in the last five quarters, reaching Rs 150.76 crore. This figure reflects a growth of 28.5% compared to the average net sales of the previous four quarters, indicating a positive near-term sales trend.

However, the company faces challenges as well. The Profit Before Tax (PBT) has shown a significant decline, recorded at Rs -2.49 crore, which represents a substantial drop compared to the average PBT of the previous four quarters. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) stands at Rs -1.75 crore, also reflecting a considerable decrease. Additionally, the debt-equity ratio has reached its highest point at 1.75 times, suggesting increased borrowing to support operations, which may impact liquidity. The interest expense has also risen, indicating a higher cost of borrowing, while cash and cash equivalents have fallen to their lowest level in recent periods, highlighting a deterioration in short-term liquidity.
