Are Archean Chemical latest results good or bad?

Archean Chemical Industries has reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, revealing a mix of operational trends. The company achieved net sales of Rs 345.58 crore, which marks a significant growth compared to the average net sales of Rs 244.84 crore over the previous four quarters, indicating a favorable near-term sales trend. This figure represents the highest net sales recorded in the last five quarters. Additionally, the operating profit before depreciation, interest, and taxes (PBDIT) reached Rs 88.30 crore, also the highest in the last five quarters.
However, the company faced challenges with its profit after tax (PAT), which was reported at Rs 101.51 crore, reflecting a year-on-year decline of 36.21%. Furthermore, the debtors turnover ratio decreased to 6.33 times, the lowest in the last five half-yearly periods, suggesting a slowdown in the pace of settling debts.

In terms of evaluation, the company saw an adjustment in its evaluation over the last three months. The quarterly results for June 2025 indicate a decline in both net sales and consolidated net profit compared to the previous quarter, with net sales showing a decrease of 15.40% and consolidated net profit declining by 24.93%. Overall, while there are positive developments in sales and operating profit, the decline in profit after tax and the decrease in the debtors turnover ratio highlight areas of concern for Archean Chemical Industries.
