Are Artemis Medicare latest results good or bad?
Artemis Medicare's latest results show a mixed performance: while Profit After Tax increased to Rs 23.03 crore, marking a positive trend, Profit Before Tax declined and operational efficiency weakened, raising concerns about sustainability. Overall, the financial performance reflects both improvements and challenges.
Artemis Medicare Services has reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, showcasing a mixed operational performance. The Profit After Tax (PAT) reached Rs 23.03 crore, which is a notable increase compared to the average PAT of Rs 18.45 crore from the previous four quarters, marking the highest PAT recorded in the last five quarters. This indicates a positive trend in profitability for the company in the near term. Additionally, the Earnings per Share (EPS) peaked at Rs 1.67 during this period, reflecting enhanced earnings for shareholders. However, the results also reveal some challenges. The Profit Before Tax less Other Income (PBT) declined to Rs 16.31 crore, representing a decrease from the previous four-quarter average of Rs 19.18 crore, and this is the lowest PBT recorded in the last five quarters. Furthermore, the Operating Profit (PBDIT) and Operating Profit Margin have reached their lowest levels in recent quarters, suggesting a decline in operational efficiency. Notably, non-operating income constituted 43.09% of the PBT, raising concerns about the sustainability of the company’s income sources.
In the subsequent quarter ending June 2025, Artemis Medicare reported a 6.28% growth in net sales compared to the previous quarter, which is an improvement from the 3.23% growth observed in March 2025. However, the consolidated net profit exhibited a decline of 7.60% compared to the previous quarter, contrasting with the 11.42% growth noted in March 2025. The Operating Profit Margin (excluding other income) was recorded at 16.24%, reflecting a slight change from the previous period.
Overall, the company has seen an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the complexities of its financial performance amidst both positive and negative trends.
