Chalet Hotels' Q2 FY26 results show strong year-on-year sales growth of 95.02% to ₹735.31 crores and a net profit recovery from a loss last year to ₹154.84 crores. However, there are sequential declines in both sales and profit, indicating challenges in the current operational environment.
Chalet Hotels reported its financial results for Q2 FY26, showcasing a complex operational landscape. The company achieved net sales of ₹735.31 crores, reflecting a significant year-on-year growth of 95.02% compared to ₹377.05 crores in Q2 FY25. However, this figure represents a sequential decline of 17.80% from the previous quarter's sales of ₹894.55 crores, highlighting the seasonal fluctuations typical in the hospitality sector.

In terms of profitability, Chalet Hotels recorded a net profit of ₹154.84 crores, which marks a substantial improvement from a net loss of ₹138.49 crores in Q2 FY25. Nonetheless, this profit is down 23.78% from ₹203.15 crores in Q1 FY26, indicating a quarter-on-quarter contraction that warrants attention. The profit before tax also saw a decline of 23.70% sequentially, reflecting pressures on revenue despite improved operational efficiencies.

The operating margin for the quarter stood at 40.69%, which is an improvement from 39.94% in Q1 FY26 and 39.65% in Q2 FY25, suggesting effective cost management amidst revenue fluctuations. The PAT margin was reported at 21.06%, down from 22.71% in the prior quarter, but significantly better than the negative margin reported in the same quarter last year.

Overall, while Chalet Hotels demonstrated strong year-on-year growth in sales and a notable recovery in profitability compared to the previous year's loss, the sequential declines in both net profit and sales indicate challenges that the company must navigate. Additionally, there was an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the mixed performance across different metrics. The company continues to operate in a competitive and evolving hospitality landscape, characterized by both opportunities and challenges.
