Are Foseco India latest results good or bad?
Foseco India's latest results show strong performance with a record Profit After Tax of Rs 21.67 crore and peak net sales of Rs 148.51 crore; however, concerns arise from declining operating cash flow and a lower dividend payout ratio, indicating a mixed outlook.
Foseco India has reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, showcasing a notable performance in several key metrics. The Profit After Tax (PAT) reached Rs 21.67 crore, marking the highest figure in the last five quarters, and indicating consistent growth over this period. Net sales also peaked at Rs 148.51 crore, reflecting a positive trend in revenue generation. The operating profit, measured as Profit Before Depreciation, Interest, and Taxes (PBDIT), stood at Rs 27.30 crore, again the highest in five quarters. Additionally, the Profit Before Tax (PBT), excluding other income, was recorded at Rs 24.92 crore, showing a significant increase of 24.4% compared to the average PBT of the previous four quarters. However, there are some areas of concern. The annual operating cash flow has declined to Rs 42.25 crore, the lowest in three years, indicating a reduction in cash revenues from business operations. Furthermore, the Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) has fallen to 21.86%, the lowest in five years, suggesting a decreased distribution of profits to shareholders.
In the subsequent quarter ending June 2025, Foseco India experienced a quarterly growth in net sales of 5.89%, which is a decline from the 8.82% growth seen in the previous quarter. The standalone net profit showed a slight decrease of 0.65% compared to the previous quarter's growth of 10.84%. The operating profit margin also reflected a decline, moving from 17.27% to 18.38%.
Overall, while Foseco India has demonstrated strong performance metrics in certain areas, the decline in cash flow and dividend payout, along with the adjustments in growth rates for the latest quarter, indicate a mixed operational outlook. The company has seen an adjustment in its evaluation based on these results.
