Are Indian Energy Ex latest results good or bad?
Indian Energy Exchange's latest results are generally positive, with a 25.2% year-on-year growth in Profit After Tax and a record high Debtors Turnover Ratio, although there are concerns about the sustainability of increased non-operating income. Net sales growth has slowed compared to the previous year, indicating some adjustments in performance.
Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) has reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, which reflect a notable performance in several key areas. The Profit After Tax (PAT) reached Rs 120.70 crore, representing the highest figure in the last five quarters and a year-on-year growth of 25.2%. This suggests an upward trend in the company's financial health. Additionally, the Earnings per Share (EPS) peaked at Rs 1.35, indicating enhanced profitability for shareholders. On the operational side, the Debtors Turnover Ratio has achieved a record high of 205.06 times over the last five half-yearly periods, demonstrating the company's efficiency in managing its receivables. However, it is important to note that non-operating income has also surged to Rs 42.43 crore, the highest in five quarters, which raises questions about the sustainability of this income derived from non-business activities.
In terms of net sales, the year-on-year growth for the quarter was reported at 14.72%, compared to 18.76% in the same quarter of the previous year. The consolidated net profit growth was recorded at 25.16%, down from 27.18% year-on-year. The operating profit margin (excluding other income) was reported at 80.40%, showing a slight change from the previous year.
Overall, while IEX has shown positive performance indicators, the company has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation over the past three months.
