Are Mysore Petro latest results good or bad?
Mysore Petro's latest results show mixed performance: while Profit Before Tax increased significantly to Rs 1.80 crore, net sales fell by 42% to Rs 7.44 crore, raising concerns about sustainability. The company did achieve a quarterly growth in net profit and operational efficiency, but reliance on non-operating income is a potential red flag.
Mysore Petro Chemicals has released its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, which present a mixed operational performance. The company reported a Profit Before Tax (PBT) of Rs 1.80 crore, reflecting a notable growth compared to the previous average PBT of Rs -1.75 crore over the last four quarters. Additionally, the Profit After Tax (PAT) reached Rs 2.26 crore, which is a significant increase over the average PAT of Rs 1.10 crore during the same period. On the operational side, Mysore Petro achieved its highest Operating Profit (PBDIT) in five quarters at Rs -0.61 crore, indicating a shift in efficiency, although the Operating Profit Margin was recorded at -8.20%. However, the company faced challenges with net sales, which fell by 42% to Rs 7.44 crore compared to the previous four-quarter average of Rs 12.84 crore. It is also noteworthy that a substantial portion of the PBT, specifically 45.45%, was derived from non-operating income, which raises questions about the sustainability of its business model.
In terms of quarterly performance, net sales showed a growth of 16.43% compared to the previous quarter, while consolidated net profit exhibited a growth of 136.39%. The Operating Profit (PBDIT) excluding other income saw a change of -1.20%, but the overall operational efficiency appears to have improved with a 10.58% change in the Operating Profit Margin.
Overall, Mysore Petro Chemicals has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the complexities in its financial results.
