Are Narayana Hrudaya latest results good or bad?
Narayana Hrudayalaya's latest financial results are generally positive, with record net sales and operating profit, but rising interest expenses and potential sustainability concerns for non-operating income indicate some challenges ahead.
Narayana Hrudayalaya has reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, showcasing a notable performance in several key areas. The company achieved net sales of Rs 1,475.44 crore, which is the highest figure recorded in the last five quarters, indicating a positive near-term sales trend with a quarter-on-quarter growth of 10.55%. Operating profit also reached Rs 357.72 crore, marking the highest level in the same timeframe and contributing to an operating profit margin of 24.24%. This reflects a solid operational efficiency, with the operating profit showing a quarter-on-quarter growth of 16.36%.
Profit before tax (PBT) was reported at Rs 233.49 crore, again the highest in five quarters, while profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs 202.88 crore, indicating a positive trend in profitability with a quarter-on-quarter growth of 2.21%.
However, the company faced challenges as interest expenses rose to Rs 40.68 crore, reflecting an increase of 11.21% quarter-on-quarter, which suggests higher borrowing costs. Additionally, non-operating income reached Rs 26.84 crore, the highest in five quarters, although this increase may not be sustainable in the long term.
Overall, the company saw an adjustment in its evaluation over the past three months. The financial results highlight a mix of strong operational performance alongside some challenges that may impact future profitability.
