Polyplex Corporation Ltd's latest Q4 FY26 results show strong revenue growth with a net profit of ₹24.80 crores, but declining operating margins raise concerns about the sustainability of earnings amid ongoing cost pressures. Overall, while sales are up, profitability challenges persist, indicating a mixed operational outlook.
Polyplex Corporation Ltd's latest financial results for Q4 FY26 present a mixed operational picture. The company reported consolidated net profit of ₹24.80 crores, reflecting a significant quarter-on-quarter increase of 68.02% and a year-on-year increase of 145.30%. This profit recovery was primarily supported by a notable rise in other income, which raised concerns regarding the sustainability of these earnings.
Net sales reached ₹1,870.72 crores, marking an all-time high for quarterly revenue with an 11.19% increase compared to the previous quarter and a 7.54% increase year-on-year. However, despite this top-line growth, the operating margin (excluding other income) contracted to 4.71%, down from 6.25% in the previous quarter, indicating ongoing cost pressures in the BOPET film manufacturing sector. Year-on-year, the operating margin showed a modest improvement from 3.67%, but it remains below historical performance levels. For the full fiscal year FY26, Polyplex reported net sales of ₹6,885.00 crores, reflecting a 9.20% growth from FY25. However, the operating profit margin excluding other income was 10.10%, highlighting persistent margin compression challenges. The company continues to face headwinds from volatile raw material costs and competitive pressures, which have impacted its profitability trajectory. The financial performance indicates that while revenue growth is evident, it has not translated into improved operational efficiency, raising questions about the quality of earnings and the company's ability to sustain profitability in the long term. Additionally, the company experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the complexities of its financial situation.
