Privi Speciality Chemicals Ltd's latest Q4 FY26 results are strong, with a net profit of ₹93.70 crores and revenue growth of 19.33% quarter-on-quarter. However, a significant reduction in promoter stake has raised concerns, leading to a mixed investor sentiment despite solid operational performance.
Privi Speciality Chemicals Ltd reported its Q4 FY26 results, showcasing notable operational performance. The company achieved a net profit of ₹93.70 crores, reflecting a quarter-on-quarter growth of 20.14% and a year-on-year increase of 40.86%. Revenue for the quarter reached ₹721.52 crores, marking a quarter-on-quarter growth of 19.33% and a year-on-year growth of 17.60%. This performance is attributed to strong demand in key product categories and improved operational efficiency, leading to an operating margin of 24.98%, which has been sustained above 24% for three consecutive quarters.
Despite these positive operational metrics, the company faced challenges due to a significant reduction in promoter stake from 69.89% to 60.60%, which raised concerns regarding management confidence and led to a post-results selloff. The reduction in promoter holding occurred alongside an increase in institutional investor participation, particularly from mutual funds, which rose from 3.91% to 9.46% over the year, indicating a degree of institutional confidence in the company’s fundamentals. For the full fiscal year FY26, Privi reported consolidated revenue of ₹2,563.68 crores, representing approximately 22% growth over the previous year, with net profit surging to ₹327.53 crores. The company’s return on capital employed (ROCE) improved significantly to 21.72%, nearly doubling its five-year average, while the return on equity (ROE) also expanded to 23.19%. Overall, Privi Speciality Chemicals Ltd demonstrated strong financial momentum in its latest results, with key operational metrics reflecting growth and efficiency improvements. However, the adjustment in its evaluation due to the promoter stake reduction presents a complex backdrop for investors.
