Are Rainbow Child. latest results good or bad?
Rainbow Children's Medicare's latest results show a mix of positive and negative trends: while operating cash flow and the debt-equity ratio improved, profit before tax and net sales declined, indicating some challenges despite a commitment to returning profits to shareholders through dividends.
Rainbow Childrens Medicare has announced its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, which reflect a mix of operational trends. The company reported an annual operating cash flow of Rs 385.05 crore, marking the highest level in the last three years, indicating a positive trend in cash revenues from its business operations. Additionally, the debt-equity ratio improved to 0.52 times, the lowest in the last five half-year periods, suggesting a reduction in borrowing relative to equity capital. The company also declared a dividend per share of Rs 3.00, the highest in five years, demonstrating a commitment to returning profits to shareholders. However, the results also highlight some challenges. Profit Before Tax (PBT) fell by 26.4% to Rs 51.35 crore, and Profit After Tax (PAT) decreased by 12.1% to Rs 53.50 crore, indicating negative trends compared to previous quarters. Net sales also declined by 6.9% to Rs 352.93 crore. While non-operating income reached Rs 20.02 crore, the highest in five quarters, its sustainability is uncertain.
In terms of quarterly performance, net sales showed a decline of 4.64% compared to the previous quarter, which is an improvement from a larger decline of 7.03% in the preceding period. Consolidated net profit also experienced a decline of 5.04%, a smaller decrease compared to the previous quarter's 17.98%. Operating profit margin, excluding other income, declined by 1.64%, reflecting some pressure on profitability.
Overall, the company saw an adjustment in its evaluation over the last three months, indicating some stabilization amidst the mixed operational results.
