Restaurant Brands Asia has reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, showcasing a notable trend in net sales, which reached Rs 697.72 crore, marking the highest level in the last five quarters. This indicates a positive near-term sales trend, with a quarter-over-quarter growth of 10.30%. In terms of profitability, the profit after tax (PAT) was recorded at Rs -41.94 crore, which is the least negative figure in the same timeframe, reflecting a 25.48% improvement compared to the previous quarter. The earnings per share (EPS) also showed an upward trend, improving to Rs -0.72, suggesting enhanced earnings for shareholders despite remaining in negative territory.
However, the company is facing challenges as well. The operating profit to interest ratio fell to 1.55 times, the lowest in five quarters, indicating a decline in the company's capacity to manage interest payments effectively. Additionally, the debtors turnover ratio decreased to 75.80 times, suggesting a slowdown in the pace of settling debts over the last half-year periods. While non-operating income rose to Rs 21.98 crore, the highest in five quarters, there are concerns regarding the sustainability of this increase in the long term.
Overall, the company saw an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the mixed operational trends and financial results.
