Ruchira Papers Ltd's latest results show strong revenue growth with a record ₹182.01 crores, up 38.32% quarter-on-quarter, but net profit fell sharply by 48.21% to ₹9.53 crores, indicating significant profitability challenges despite the revenue increase. Overall, the results reflect concerns about operational efficiency and margin compression.
Ruchira Papers Ltd's latest financial results for the quarter ending March 2026 present a mixed picture characterized by significant revenue growth alongside notable profitability challenges. The company achieved its highest-ever quarterly revenue of ₹182.01 crores, reflecting a 38.32% increase compared to the previous quarter. This growth is also a 12.57% improvement year-on-year, indicating strong top-line performance.
However, the net profit for the same quarter was ₹9.53 crores, which represents a sharp decline of 48.21% from the previous quarter and a similar drop compared to the same quarter last year. This decline in profitability is concerning, especially given the substantial revenue growth, suggesting that the company is facing operational challenges that are compressing margins. The PAT margin decreased to 5.24%, down from 10.08% in the previous quarter, highlighting the pressure on profitability. For the full financial year FY26, Ruchira Papers reported net sales of ₹648.81 crores, which is a slight decline of 1.55% from the previous year. The annual net profit also fell to ₹44.15 crores, down 34.10% from ₹67.00 crores in FY25, indicating ongoing margin compression and cost pressures. The operating margin improved to 10.91% in Q4 FY26 from 6.70% in the previous quarter, yet this remains significantly lower than the margins recorded in earlier quarters. The company faced increased interest costs and higher depreciation, which contributed to the decline in net profit despite the revenue growth. Overall, Ruchira Papers Ltd's results indicate a divergence between revenue growth and profit generation, raising concerns about the sustainability of its operational efficiency. The company has seen an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the challenges it faces in maintaining profitability amidst rising costs and competitive pressures within the paper manufacturing sector.
