Are Swiggy latest results good or bad?

Swiggy has reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, showcasing a significant growth in net sales, which reached Rs 4,961.00 crore, reflecting a 30.3% increase compared to the average net sales of Rs 3,806.63 crore from the previous four quarters. This marks the highest quarterly sales for the company in the last five quarters, indicating a positive trend in sales performance.
However, the financial results also highlight challenges in profitability. The profit before tax less other income (PBT) was recorded at Rs -1,284.00 crore, which represents a decline of 46.7% from the previous four-quarter average of Rs -875.39 crore. In addition, the profit after tax (PAT) was reported at Rs -1,197.00 crore, a decrease of 54.2% compared to the average PAT of Rs -776.25 crore from prior quarters. Both PBT and PAT figures are at their lowest in the last five quarters, indicating a negative trend in profitability.

On a quarter-over-quarter basis, net sales showed a growth of 12.49% compared to the previous quarter, while the consolidated net profit reflected a change of -10.73%. The operating profit margin, excluding other income, was reported at -19.23%, with a slight adjustment noted in its evaluation.

Overall, while Swiggy has achieved notable sales growth, the company continues to face significant challenges in profitability, as reflected in its financial performance metrics.
