Are TCI Express latest results good or bad?

TCI Express has reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, which indicate significant challenges for the company. The Profit Before Tax (PBT) was recorded at Rs 19.87 crore, representing a year-on-year decline of 49.80%, marking the lowest PBT in the last five quarters. This suggests a negative trend in the company's operational performance.
The Profit After Tax (PAT) for the latest six months stood at Rs 38.55 crore, reflecting a decrease of 39.56% year-on-year. Additionally, the operating profit, measured as Profit Before Depreciation, Interest, and Tax (PBDIT), was reported at Rs 26.27 crore, indicating a decline in operational efficiency with an operating profit margin of 8.55%.

In terms of sales, TCI Express experienced a net sales decline of 3.10% compared to the previous year, which is a slight worsening from the decline of 2.80% reported in March 2024. The consolidated net profit also saw a significant drop of 38.71% year-on-year, compared to a decline of 17.84% in the previous period.

While there was an increase in non-operating income to Rs 6.13 crore, the sustainability of this rise is uncertain. Overall, the financial results reflect considerable challenges for TCI Express in the current market environment, and the company saw an adjustment in its evaluation based on these results.
