Thejo Engineering Ltd's latest Q3 FY26 results show record net sales of ₹162.25 crores, a 19.67% increase year-on-year, but profitability has declined significantly, with net profit falling 32.45% to ₹8.89 crores due to rising costs and reduced margins. Overall, while revenue growth is positive, the challenges in profitability raise concerns about the company's operational efficiency and sustainability.
Thejo Engineering Ltd's latest financial results for Q3 FY26 present a complex picture characterized by record net sales of ₹162.25 crores, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 19.67%. However, this revenue growth is overshadowed by significant challenges in profitability. The company's operating margins contracted to 11.38%, down from 17.83% in the same quarter last year, indicating severe operational pressures.
Despite achieving its highest quarterly revenue, the consolidated net profit fell to ₹8.89 crores, representing a decline of 32.45% year-on-year. This decline in profitability is attributed to rising employee costs, which increased to ₹53.37 crores, consuming 32.9% of sales, alongside higher depreciation charges. The gross profit margin also saw a notable decrease, falling to 9.94% from 16.93% a year ago, signaling challenges in cost management and pricing power. The divergence between revenue growth and margin compression suggests operational inefficiencies that have emerged, raising concerns about the sustainability of the current growth trajectory. Thejo Engineering's return on capital employed (ROCE) has also shown signs of deterioration, with a half-yearly ROCE of 21.72%, the lowest in recent periods, indicating diminishing returns on capital. In light of these results, the company experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the challenges posed by the recent financial performance. Investors and stakeholders may need to closely monitor future developments to assess the potential for recovery or further deterioration in operational metrics.
