Are Titagarh Rail latest results good or bad?

Titagarh Rail Systems has reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, revealing a notable decline across several key metrics compared to the same period last year. The net sales for the quarter were recorded at Rs 679.30 crore, which represents a year-on-year decrease of 24.78%, marking the lowest sales figure in the last five quarters. This decline indicates challenges in revenue generation for the company.
The operating profit, excluding other income, also showed a significant decrease, falling to Rs 55.50 crore, which is a decline of 26.25% year-on-year. This reduction is accompanied by a decrease in the operating profit margin, which now stands at 10.84%, reflecting a slight contraction compared to the previous year.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) decreased to Rs 34.86 crore, down 55.18% year-on-year, while Profit After Tax (PAT) fell to Rs 31.24 crore, a decline of 53.4%. The earnings per share (EPS) reached Rs 2.29, the lowest in five quarters, indicating a reduction in profitability for shareholders.

Furthermore, the company faced rising interest costs, which increased by 33.13% over the preceding nine months, suggesting heightened financial pressure. Given these results, Titagarh Rail Systems experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the challenges it faces in the current operational environment.
