Are Vedanta latest results good or bad?

Vedanta has reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, showcasing notable growth in several key metrics. The company declared a Profit After Tax (PAT) of Rs 7,030 crore, which reflects a year-on-year growth of 101.06%, indicating a strong performance in profitability over the past six months.
In terms of sales, Vedanta achieved net sales of Rs 40,455 crore for the quarter, marking the highest figure recorded in the last five quarters. This consistent growth in sales suggests a robust near-term sales trend for the company. Additionally, the operating profit (PBDIT) reached Rs 11,466 crore, also the highest in the last five quarters, highlighting a positive trajectory in operational efficiency. The Profit Before Tax (PBT), excluding other income, stood at Rs 5,896 crore, reflecting a growth of 23.8% compared to the average PBT of the previous four quarters.

However, it is worth noting that Vedanta experienced an adjustment in its evaluation over the last three months. The quarterly results also show a net sales growth of 3.43% compared to the previous quarter, while the consolidated net profit exhibited a slight decline of 1.80% in the same period. Overall, the financial data indicates significant growth across key metrics, despite the noted changes in evaluation.
