Asian Energy Services Reports Mixed Financial Results Amid Growth in Sales and Liquidity, December 2024

Asian Energy Services has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, revealing a mix of positive and challenging trends. The company's net sales for the half-year reached Rs 189.41 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 34.99%, indicating a favorable near-term sales trajectory. Additionally, cash and cash equivalents have reached their highest level in the last six half-yearly periods at Rs 73.79 crore, suggesting an improvement in short-term liquidity. The debtors turnover ratio also stands at a robust 3.55 times, the highest in the last five half-yearly periods, demonstrating the company's efficiency in settling its receivables.
Conversely, the profit before tax (PBT) has shown a decline, recorded at Rs 9.64 crore, which is a decrease of 13.5% compared to the average PBT of the previous four quarters. Similarly, profit after tax (PAT) has also fallen to Rs 8.26 crore, down 17.9% from the average of the last four quarters. While non-operating income has reached its highest level in five quarters at Rs 1.57 crore, there are concerns regarding the sustainability of this income from non-business activities.
