AU Small Finance Bank Reports Q3 FY24-25 Results Highlighting Record Net Interest Income and Profit Growth

AU Small Finance Bank has recently disclosed its financial results for the third quarter of FY24-25, showcasing notable developments in various metrics. The bank achieved a record net interest income of Rs 2,022.71 crore, demonstrating consistent growth over the last five quarters. Interest earned also saw substantial figures, totaling Rs 4,113.48 crore, which reflects a significant year-on-year increase.
The Profit Before Tax (PBT) was reported at Rs 84.82 crore, indicating a year-on-year growth. Meanwhile, the Profit After Tax (PAT) reached Rs 528.45 crore, marking an increase compared to the previous year. The operating profit stood at Rs 586.50 crore, with an operating profit margin of 14.26%, suggesting enhanced operational efficiency.

Despite these positive indicators, AU Small Finance Bank is navigating challenges, including a gross non-performing asset (NPA) ratio of 2.31%, the highest recorded in five quarters, alongside a net NPA ratio of 0.91%. Additionally, a significant portion of PBT, approximately 87.94%, stemmed from non-operating income, which raises questions about the sustainability of its income sources.

In light of these results, there have been evaluation changes regarding the bank's overall assessment.
