Avadh Sugar & Energy Reports Strong Profit Growth Amid Rising Interest Expenses in March 2025

Avadh Sugar & Energy has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, revealing notable developments in its performance metrics. The company has experienced a revision in its evaluation, with its score reflecting a shift from -11 to 5 over the past three months.
Key highlights from the financial results indicate that Avadh Sugar achieved its highest operating profit to interest ratio in the last five quarters, recorded at 6.22 times. This improvement suggests a strengthening ability to manage interest payments. Additionally, the operating profit (PBDIT) reached Rs 149.27 crore, marking a positive trend in profitability. The operating profit margin also saw an uptick, reaching 21.99%, indicating enhanced operational efficiency.

Furthermore, the profit before tax (PBT) stood at Rs 110.55 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 32.98%. Similarly, the profit after tax (PAT) was reported at Rs 71.68 crore, with a year-on-year increase of 29.6%. The earnings per share (EPS) also reached a peak of Rs 35.80, showcasing improved profitability for shareholders.

However, it is important to note that interest expenses have risen significantly, growing by 97.94% quarter on quarter, which may indicate increased borrowings.
