Bank of India Reports Strong Q3 FY24-25 Results Amidst NPA Improvements and Income Challenges

Bank of India has recently reported its financial results for the third quarter of FY24-25, with the announcement made on January 24, 2025. The bank's Profit Before Tax (PBT) reached Rs 1,652.49 crore, showcasing a notable change compared to the average PBT of Rs 739.59 crore over the previous four quarters. Additionally, the Profit After Tax (PAT) was recorded at Rs 2,516.69 crore, indicating a shift from the average PAT of Rs 1,846.21 crore in prior quarters.
The bank's Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPA) have shown a favorable trend, decreasing to 3.69%, marking the lowest level in five quarters. The Net NPA has also seen a reduction, now standing at 0.85%. Furthermore, interest earned has reached a record high of Rs 18,210.52 crore, reflecting consistent growth over the last five quarters.

Despite these positive developments, the bank is navigating challenges, including a significant portion of non-operating income, which constitutes 51.38% of PBT, and a declining Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) at 16.00%, the lowest observed in five quarters.

In light of these results, there have been evaluation changes regarding the stock's score.
