Bank Of India Reports Mixed Financial Results Amidst Improving Loan Quality in June 2025

Bank Of India has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, showcasing a mix of positive and challenging trends. The bank's gross non-performing assets (NPA) have reached a low of 2.92%, continuing a downward trajectory over the past five quarters, indicating an improvement in the quality of its loan portfolio. Additionally, the profit after tax (PAT) for the latest six months stands at Rs 4,878.03 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 55.27%, suggesting a robust near-term trend in profitability.
Interest earned has also reached a record high of Rs 18,352.19 crore for the quarter, marking consistent growth over the last five quarters. Cash and cash equivalents have peaked at Rs 51,730.43 crore, indicating an enhancement in short-term liquidity.

Conversely, the profit before tax less other income (PBT) has shown a decline of 13.1% compared to the average of the previous four quarters, raising concerns about sustainability. Additionally, non-operating income constitutes a significant portion of the PBT, which may not support long-term growth.
