Century Plyboards Reports Mixed Financial Results Amid Rising Interest Expenses in March 2025

Century Plyboards (India) has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, revealing a mixed performance. The company's net sales reached Rs 1,198.33 crore, marking the highest figure in the last five quarters, indicating a positive trend in sales. However, the profit metrics present a contrasting picture. Profit Before Tax (PBT) stood at Rs 79.64 crore, reflecting a decline of 21.68% year on year, while Profit After Tax (PAT) was reported at Rs 52.47 crore, down 34.0% year on year. These figures suggest challenges in profitability despite the sales growth.
Additionally, the interest expense for the nine-month period was recorded at Rs 54.08 crore, which has seen a significant rise of 61.53% compared to the preceding nine months. This increase in interest costs may indicate a higher level of borrowings, which could impact future financial flexibility.

In light of these developments, Century Plyboards has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, with its score moving to -11 from -18 over the past three months.
