CESC Reports Stable Financial Performance Amid Mixed Results in May 2025 Announcement

CESC, a prominent player in the power industry, has released its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, with the announcement made on May 15, 2025. The company has experienced a stable financial performance during this period, reflected in a revision in its score, which has shifted to -2 from -11 over the past three months.
The financial results indicate that CESC's operating profit margin has reached its highest level in the last five quarters at 20.94%, suggesting an enhancement in operational efficiency. However, challenges remain evident in other areas. The profit before tax, excluding other income, has recorded a decline, standing at Rs 313.00 crore, which is a decrease of 13.1% compared to the average of the previous four quarters. Additionally, net sales have also shown a downward trend, reported at Rs 3,877.00 crore, reflecting a 6.1% decline from the previous four-quarter average.

On a positive note, non-operating income has peaked at Rs 153.00 crore, marking the highest in the last five quarters, although the sustainability of this increase remains uncertain.
