City Union Bank Reports Strong Financial Results with Record Earnings and Reduced NPAs in June 2025

City Union Bank has reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, showcasing a range of positive developments. The bank's score has seen an adjustment in evaluation, moving to 10 from 8 over the past three months, reflecting a favorable shift in its financial standing.
Key highlights from the quarter include a notable reduction in Gross Non-Performing Assets (NPA), which stands at 2.99%, marking the lowest level in five quarters. This trend indicates a decline in the proportion of stressed loans. Additionally, the bank achieved its highest Net Interest Income at Rs 625.29 crore, alongside a record Interest Earned of Rs 1,605.33 crore, both of which have shown consistent growth over the last five quarters. Profit After Tax (PAT) also reached a peak of Rs 305.92 crore, further emphasizing the bank's strengthening financial position. Earnings per Share (EPS) rose to Rs 4.13, indicating enhanced profitability for shareholders.

However, it is worth noting that Non-Operating Income constituted 64.02% of Profit Before Tax (PBT), suggesting a reliance on income from non-business activities, which may not support long-term sustainability.
