CreditAccess Grameen Reports Significant Financial Shifts in Q3 FY24-25 Results

CreditAccess Grameen has reported its financial results for the third quarter of FY24-25, revealing notable shifts in key performance metrics. The company's evaluation has undergone a revision, reflecting the challenges faced during this period.
The financial health indicators show that the debt-equity ratio is at 2.74 times, which is the lowest observed in the last five half-yearly periods, suggesting a change in the company's borrowing dynamics relative to its equity capital. However, the overall financial performance presents concerning trends. Profit Before Tax less Other Income (PBT) has reached Rs -130.48 crore, which marks a significant deviation from the average PBT of Rs 446.49 crore recorded over the previous four quarters. Similarly, Profit After Tax (PAT) has declined to Rs -99.52 crore, contrasting sharply with an average of Rs 333.54 crore.

The operating profit margin has also fallen to 26.07%, indicating a shift in the company's operational efficiency. Additionally, earnings per share (EPS) have decreased to Rs -6.24, reflecting a downturn in profitability. The company's cash and cash equivalents have diminished to Rs 733.21 crore, pointing to a change in short-term liquidity.
