Davangere Sugar Company Reports Strong Q3 FY24-25 Growth Amid Rising Interest Costs
Davangere Sugar Company has reported its financial results for the third quarter of FY24-25, with results announced on January 18, 2025. The company has experienced a notable adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting a significant shift in its score.The financial metrics reveal strong growth across various areas. Profit Before Tax (PBT), excluding other income, reached Rs 7.05 crore, showcasing a remarkable change compared to the average PBT of Rs 2.87 crore over the last four quarters. Similarly, Profit After Tax (PAT) rose to Rs 6.77 crore, indicating a substantial shift from an average of Rs 3.10 crore in the previous four quarters.
Net sales for the quarter amounted to Rs 73.18 crore, demonstrating a considerable change over the average net sales of Rs 56.70 crore from the last four quarters. Operating profit also reached its highest level in five quarters at Rs 18.21 crore, while earnings per share (EPS) increased to Rs 0.07, marking the highest figure in the last five quarters.
Despite these positive developments, the company is facing challenges due to rising interest costs, which have escalated by 81.64% to Rs 18.40 crore compared to the previous half-year period, suggesting increased borrowings.
