DCM Shriram Reports Strong Profit Growth Amid Rising Interest Costs in March 2025 Results

DCM Shriram has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, revealing a notable shift in its evaluation. The company's score has experienced a revision, moving from 7 to 4 over the past three months.
In terms of performance, DCM Shriram's Profit Before Tax (PBT) for the quarter stood at Rs 248.51 crore, reflecting a growth of 48.1% compared to the average PBT of Rs 167.82 crore from the previous four quarters. This indicates a positive near-term trend for PBT. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) reached Rs 178.91 crore, marking a growth of 31.8% against the previous four-quarter average of Rs 135.79 crore, suggesting a favorable near-term trend for PAT as well.

However, the company is facing challenges with rising interest costs. Over the latest six-month period, interest expenses amounted to Rs 85.32 crore, which represents a growth of 26.40% compared to the previous half-year period. This increase in interest expenses indicates a rise in borrowings, which could impact future financial flexibility.
