Exide Industries Reports Flat Financial Performance Amid Declining Profit Metrics in March 2025
Exide Industries, a prominent player in the battery industry, has recently released its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025. The results indicate a flat financial performance during this period. Notably, the company's score has undergone an adjustment, moving to -4 from -19 over the past three months.The financial data reveals that the Profit Before Tax (PBT), excluding other income, stands at Rs 245.99 crore, reflecting a decline of 10.0% compared to the average PBT of Rs 273.18 crore from the previous four quarters. This trend suggests challenges in the near-term PBT outlook. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) for the quarter is reported at Rs 186.87 crore, which is down by 5.7% relative to the average PAT of Rs 198.22 crore from the last four quarters, indicating a negative trend in PAT as well.
On a different note, the company has recorded its highest non-operating income in the last five quarters at Rs 43.53 crore. However, there are concerns regarding the sustainability of this income from non-business activities.
