GE Power India's March 2025 Results Highlight Earnings Growth Amidst Declining Profitability and Sales

GE Power India has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, revealing significant shifts in its performance metrics. The company's evaluation has undergone notable changes, with a revision in its score reflecting the challenges faced during this period.
On a positive note, GE Power achieved its highest earnings per share (EPS) in the last five quarters, reaching Rs 24.43, indicating a capacity for generating higher earnings for shareholders. However, the overall financial landscape presents several concerns. The profit before tax less other income (PBT) has shown a substantial decline, recorded at Rs -251.03 crore, which marks a significant deviation from the average of the previous four quarters. Similarly, profit after tax (PAT) has also experienced a sharp downturn, landing at Rs -54.51 crore, contrasting starkly with the average PAT of Rs 6.15 crore from prior quarters.

Net sales have decreased to Rs 266.38 crore, reflecting a downward trend compared to the previous average of Rs 302.75 crore. Additionally, the operating profit margin has reached its lowest point at -13.18%, indicating challenges in operational efficiency. These factors contribute to the overall negative evaluation changes for GE Power India.
