Godfrey Phillips India Reports Strong December 2024 Results Amid Inventory Challenges

Godfrey Phillips India has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, showcasing a notable performance in various key metrics. The company has experienced a significant adjustment in its evaluation, with its score reflecting a shift from 5 to 20 over the past three months.
The financial results indicate a robust growth trajectory, particularly in Profit Before Tax less Other Income (PBT), which reached Rs 362.72 crore, marking a year-on-year growth of 68.50%. Similarly, Profit After Tax (PAT) stood at Rs 315.85 crore, representing a 48.7% increase compared to the previous year. Net sales also reached a five-quarter high of Rs 1,895.52 crore, with a year-on-year growth of 27.43%. Operating Profit (PBDIT) and Earnings per Share (EPS) also hit their highest levels in the last five quarters, reflecting the company's increasing profitability.

However, the financial results also highlight some challenges. The Inventory Turnover Ratio has declined to 2.75 times, indicating a slowdown in the pace of selling inventory. Additionally, the Debtors Turnover Ratio has reached its lowest point in the last five half-yearly periods, suggesting a deceleration in settling debts.
