Greenlam Industries Reports Mixed Financial Results Amidst Sales Growth and Profit Decline in March 2025

Greenlam Industries has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, revealing a complex landscape of performance metrics. The company, operating in the plywood boards and laminates industry, has experienced notable shifts in its evaluation, with its score adjusting to -19 from -22 over the past three months.
On a positive note, Greenlam Industries achieved its highest quarterly net sales in the last five quarters, reaching Rs 681.77 crore, indicating a favorable near-term sales trend. However, the financial results also highlight significant challenges. The Profit Before Tax (PBT) has shown a substantial decline, recorded at Rs 10.76 crore, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 75.76%. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) has fallen sharply to Rs 2.08 crore, marking a 94.9% decline year-on-year.

Additionally, the company's operating profit to interest ratio has reached its lowest point in five quarters at 3.21 times, suggesting difficulties in managing interest payments. The interest expense has also surged to Rs 19.91 crore, the highest in the last five quarters, indicating increased borrowings. Furthermore, the Earnings per Share (EPS) has dropped to Rs 0.08, the lowest in the last five quarters, signaling declining profitability.
