Greenply Industries has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, revealing notable challenges within its operational framework. The company's Profit Before Tax (PBT) has registered at Rs 18.58 crore, reflecting a significant decline of 33.60% year-on-year. Similarly, the Profit After Tax (PAT) stands at Rs 24.94 crore, down 24.6% compared to the same period last year. Additionally, Greenply Industries has experienced a rise in interest expenses, which reached Rs 18.51 crore, marking a quarter-on-quarter increase of 41.08%. This uptick in interest costs indicates a potential increase in borrowings, raising concerns about the company's financial leverage. Furthermore, the operating profit to interest ratio has fallen to its lowest point in five quarters at 3.33 times, suggesting challenges in managing interest obligations.
The company has also reported that non-operating income constitutes 41.48% of its PBT, with this income reaching its highest level in five quarters at Rs 13.17 crore. This reliance on non-business activities for income may pose sustainability issues for Greenply Industries moving forward.
