Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, revealing a complex picture of performance within the commodity chemicals sector. The company achieved its highest quarterly net sales at Rs 1,105.12 crore, marking a consistent growth trend over the last five quarters. Similarly, the operating profit (PBDIT) reached Rs 116.62 crore, also reflecting a positive trajectory in recent periods.

However, the financial landscape is not without challenges. The interest expense for the latest six months rose to Rs 31.86 crore, indicating a significant increase in borrowing costs, which may impact future financial flexibility. Additionally, cash and cash equivalents fell to Rs 133.97 crore, the lowest level observed in the last six half-yearly periods, suggesting a tightening liquidity position. The debt-equity ratio has also reached its highest point at 0.10 times in the last five half-yearly periods, highlighting an increased reliance on debt to support operations.

In light of these developments, Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals has experienced an adjustment in its evaluation, with its score reflecting these dynamics.
