GMDC Reports Strong Financial Growth Amid Concerns Over Non-Operating Income Reliance in March 2025

Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation (GMDC) has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, showcasing notable developments in its performance metrics. The evaluation changes reflect a significant adjustment in its score, moving to 6 from 1 over the past three months.
The financial results indicate a positive trajectory for GMDC, particularly in its Profit Before Tax (PBT), which reached Rs 167.03 crore, marking a growth of 24% compared to the average of the previous four quarters. Additionally, the Profit After Tax (PAT) hit a five-quarter high at Rs 226.22 crore, demonstrating a robust increase of 39.9% over the prior average. The Earnings per Share (EPS) also reached its peak at Rs 7.11, indicating enhanced profitability for shareholders.

However, the results also highlight areas of concern. Non-operating income constituted 41.41% of PBT, with the quarterly figure at Rs 118.05 crore, suggesting a reliance on income from non-business activities, which may not be sustainable in the long term.
