GNFC Reports Significant Decline in Sales and Profitability Amid Operational Challenges in June 2025
Gujarat Narmada Valley Fertilizers & Chemicals (GNFC) has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, revealing notable challenges within its operations. The company has experienced a significant decline in net sales, which totaled Rs 1,601.00 crore, reflecting a year-on-year decrease of 20.78%. This marks the lowest sales figure recorded in the past five quarters, indicating a concerning trend in revenue generation.Additionally, the profit before tax less other income (PBT) has also shown a substantial decline, landing at Rs -45.00 crore, a stark contrast to previous periods. This figure represents the lowest PBT in the last five quarters, further emphasizing the difficulties faced by the company. The profit after tax (PAT) has similarly decreased to Rs 83.00 crore, down 29.7% year-on-year.
Operating profit has reached its lowest point at Rs 31.00 crore, with an operating profit margin of just 1.94%, suggesting a decline in operational efficiency. Furthermore, the earnings per share (EPS) have fallen to Rs 5.65, indicating reduced profitability for shareholders.
In light of these developments, GNFC has undergone an adjustment in its evaluation, reflecting the current financial landscape.
