Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Reports Flat Q3 FY24-25 Results Amid Sales Growth

Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals (GSFC) has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, revealing a flat performance for Q3 FY24-25. Notably, the evaluation changes indicate a revision in its score, moving from -6 to 1 over the past three months.
The financial data highlights several positive aspects for GSFC. The company achieved net sales of Rs 2,814.07 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 40.16%. This marks the highest quarterly sales figure in the last five quarters, suggesting a favorable near-term sales trend. Additionally, profit before tax (PBT), excluding other income, reached Rs 111.93 crore, with a significant year-on-year increase of 77.86%, further indicating a positive near-term trend in profitability.

Conversely, certain challenges persist for GSFC. A notable concern is the high proportion of non-operating income, which constitutes 33.32% of PBT, raising questions about the sustainability of its business model. Furthermore, the company's debtors turnover ratio has reached its lowest point in the last five half-yearly periods at 13.01 times, indicating a slowdown in the pace of settling debts.
