HFCL Reports Mixed Financial Results Amid Rising Debt and Declining Sales in June 2025

HFCL, a midcap player in the Telecom Equipment & Accessories industry, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025. The evaluation changes reflect a notable shift in its score, which has moved to -24 from -34 over the past three months.
The financials reveal some positive aspects for HFCL. The company has achieved its highest cash and cash equivalents in the last six half-yearly periods, amounting to Rs 491.32 crore, indicating an improvement in short-term liquidity.

However, several challenges are evident in the latest results. Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 871.02 crore, reflecting a significant decline of 24.80% year on year. Additionally, the profit before tax less other income (PBT) reported a loss of Rs 59.23 crore, marking a year-on-year decline of 154.70%. Similarly, the profit after tax (PAT) was recorded at Rs -32.24 crore, down 129.0% year on year. The interest expense has also risen to Rs 153.44 crore, indicating increased borrowings, while the debt-equity ratio has reached its highest level in five half-yearly periods at 0.33 times, suggesting a potential strain on liquidity.
