ICICI Bank Reports Record Highs in Net Interest Income and Profitability for June 2025

ICICI Bank has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending June 2025, showcasing a range of noteworthy developments. The bank's net interest income reached a record high of Rs 21,634.46 crore, reflecting consistent growth over the past five quarters. Similarly, interest earned also peaked at Rs 42,946.91 crore, indicating a strong trend in core business income.
Profit after tax (PAT) for the quarter stood at Rs 12,768.21 crore, marking another high point and demonstrating a positive trajectory in profitability. Additionally, the gross non-performing assets (NPA) ratio improved to 1.67%, the lowest in the last five quarters, suggesting a reduction in stressed loans.

Earnings per share (EPS) also reached a new high of Rs 17.89, signaling enhanced profitability for shareholders. Furthermore, cash and cash equivalents were reported at Rs 119,928.12 crore, the highest in the last six half-yearly periods, indicating improved short-term liquidity.

However, it is important to note that non-operating income constituted 50.23% of profit before tax, with a record high of Rs 8,504.90 crore, raising questions about the sustainability of income from non-business activities.

In light of these developments, ICICI Bank has experienced adjustments in its evaluation, reflecting the current financial landscape.
