India Cements Reports Q3 FY24-25 Results Amidst Financial Challenges and Declining Profitability

India Cements has released its financial results for the third quarter of FY24-25, showcasing a challenging landscape for the company. The recent evaluation changes reflect a slight adjustment in its score, moving from -25 to -21 over the past three months, which underscores the ongoing difficulties faced by the organization.
In the December 2024 financials, the company reported an Earnings per Share (EPS) of Rs 3.95, the highest recorded in the last five quarters, indicating some level of profitability for shareholders. The Debt-Equity Ratio has also reached 0.41 times, the lowest in the last ten half-yearly periods, suggesting a reduction in borrowing relative to equity capital.

Despite these aspects, several negative trends are apparent. The Operating Profit to Interest ratio has declined to -2.59 times, reflecting challenges in managing interest payments. Profit Before Tax (PBT) has significantly decreased to Rs -301.97 crore, marking a 96.7% decline compared to the average of the previous four quarters. Similarly, Profit After Tax (PAT) has fallen to Rs -227.10 crore, a 160.5% drop. Additionally, Net Sales have decreased to Rs 940.81 crore, down 14.8% from the previous average, raising concerns about the company's financial health.
