LIC Housing Finance Reports Record Quarterly Operating Profit and Improved Financial Metrics
LIC Housing Finance has reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, showcasing a notable performance in various key metrics. The company has experienced a positive shift in its evaluation, with its score reflecting an adjustment from the previous period. In terms of operating profit, LIC Housing Finance achieved its highest quarterly figure at Rs 6,773.12 crore, marking consistent growth over the last five quarters. Similarly, the profit before tax (PBT) reached Rs 1,798.31 crore, also the highest in recent quarters, indicating a strong upward trend. The company has effectively managed its debt, with a debt-equity ratio recorded at 7.67 times, the lowest in the last five half-yearly periods, suggesting a strategic reduction in borrowing relative to equity capital.
Net sales for the quarter stood at Rs 7,069.99 crore, the highest in the last five quarters, while the operating profit margin improved to 95.80%. Additionally, profit after tax (PAT) reached Rs 1,434.84 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 22.7%. The earnings per share (EPS) also hit a peak at Rs 26.07, indicating enhanced profitability for shareholders.
