Lloyds Metals & Energy Reports Significant Revenue and Profit Declines in March 2025 Results

Lloyds Metals & Energy has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, revealing notable challenges within its operations. The company, which operates in the Steel/Sponge Iron/Pig Iron industry, has experienced a significant adjustment in its evaluation, with its score reflecting a decline to -13 from a previous score of 2 over the last three months.
The financial data indicates that net sales for the quarter reached Rs 1,193.30 crore, marking a year-on-year decrease of 23.23%. This figure represents the lowest sales recorded in the past five quarters, suggesting a concerning trend in revenue generation. Additionally, profit before tax less other income (PBT) stood at Rs 225.36 crore, reflecting a substantial year-on-year decline of 48.73%, also the lowest in five quarters.

Profit after tax (PAT) was reported at Rs 201.88 crore, down 27.1% year-on-year, further highlighting the challenges faced by the company. Operating profit and operating profit margin also reached their lowest points in the last five quarters, indicating a deterioration in operational efficiency. Earnings per share (EPS) fell to Rs 3.86, underscoring the decline in profitability and the impact on shareholder returns.
