Lumax Industries Reports Record Sales and Profit Growth Amid Rising Borrowing Costs in March 2025

Lumax Industries has reported its financial results for the quarter ending March 2025, showcasing notable developments in its performance metrics. The company has experienced a significant adjustment in its evaluation, with its score rising to 16 from 8 over the past three months.
The financial results indicate that Lumax Industries achieved its highest quarterly net sales at Rs 923.37 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 24.33%. This positive trend in sales has been consistent, with growth observed in each of the last five quarters. Additionally, the operating profit reached Rs 79.30 crore, marking the highest level in the same timeframe, while profit before tax also peaked at Rs 47.55 crore. The profit after tax stood at Rs 43.97 crore, which represents a year-on-year growth of 21.9%. Furthermore, earnings per share reached Rs 47.03, indicating enhanced profitability for shareholders.

However, it is important to note that the interest expense for the nine-month period has also seen an increase, growing to Rs 56.08 crore, which suggests a rise in borrowing costs.
