Mahindra Logistics Reports Highest Operating Profit Amid Rising Losses and Interest Costs

Mahindra Logistics has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024, revealing a complex picture of its performance. The company recorded its highest operating profit in the last five quarters at Rs 73.69 crore, indicating a positive trend in its near-term operating profit. Additionally, net sales reached Rs 1,594.20 crore, marking the highest level in the same period, which also reflects a favorable sales trend. The profit after tax (PAT) stood at Rs -9.03 crore, the highest loss recorded in the last five quarters, while earnings per share (EPS) were at Rs -1.25, suggesting ongoing profitability concerns. Furthermore, the company faced rising interest costs, with quarterly interest expenses reaching Rs 22.05 crore, a notable increase from previous periods. This rise in interest expenses indicates a higher level of borrowings, which is further evidenced by a debt-equity ratio of 1.85 times, the highest in recent half-yearly assessments.
