Mahindra & Mahindra Reports Strong Q3 Results Amid Rising Debt-Equity Ratio

Mahindra & Mahindra, a prominent player in the passenger cars segment, has recently reported its financial results for the quarter ending December 2024. The company has experienced notable developments in its financial metrics, leading to an adjustment in its evaluation.
The net sales for the quarter reached an impressive Rs 41,470.05 crore, marking a consistent growth trend over the last five quarters. Additionally, the operating profit to interest ratio has also shown a positive trajectory, recorded at 3.48 times, indicating enhanced management of interest obligations. The profit after tax for the half-year stood at Rs 6,351.30 crore, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 26.87%.

Moreover, the operating profit, reported at Rs 8,230.73 crore, and the operating profit margin, which reached 19.85%, both highlight the company's improved efficiency. The profit before tax less other income also demonstrated a strong performance, growing to Rs 4,680.66 crore, a 21.8% increase over the previous average.

However, it is important to note that the debt-equity ratio has risen to 1.66 times, suggesting an increase in borrowing to support operations, which may impact liquidity.
